JMS announces expansion with new Dartford depot
Powered access hire specialist JMS has opened a new depot in North Kent.
The new JMS Dartford depot is strategically placed to serve the company’s growing number of customers in South and East London, Kent and Sussex.
JMS Managing Director Mark Jackson said: “Our new depot is ideally-placed to enhance our service for customers south of the Thames. It is also right in the middle of one of the most dynamic economic development areas in the UK.
“JMS Dartford will help us guarantee the fast and consistent machine delivery and collection times that are a hallmark of our service.
“It gives us more space to stock our growing hire portfolio of aerial booms, scissor lifts, telehandlers and forklift trucks.
“We’re also very pleased that, over time, JMS Dartford will allow us to create more jobs in the local area, contributing to the success of the local economy.”
The investment means JMS now has three depots. The other two are in Harpenden, in Hertfordshire, the company’s HQ, and Leeds, West Yorkshire.
Largest access booms for hire
JMS also has an operational office at the Pinewood Studios, Buckinghamshire, to provide a powered access hire service for the media, film and TV industry.
JMS Dartford will provide customers with the full range of the ultra-modern, safe and sustainable powered access equipment the company has to offer, including scissor lifts, cherry pickers and tracked boom lifts.
They include some of the largest access booms in the UK, such as the JLG 1850SJ boom lift, which has a maximum working height of 58.57m.
Mark Jackson said: “Great powered access hire service depends on being close to our customers and delivering the right equipment just when they need it.
“JMS Dartford improves our overall operational efficiency, reduces in relative terms our carbon footprint and will support our aim of providing a seamless, hassle-free powered access hire service.”
